All new and renewing Notaries are required to complete and satisfactorily pass a Live Scan fingerprinting for a complete State Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation background check prior to the commission being issued by the Secretary of State. If you have taken an online course, you are required to take the required state-proctored exam. If you have taken an AV Notary Network Home Study Course or other online class you can register to come to one of our class locations to take your state test. Check our class calendar for a convenient date and location and and register. If we do not have a class that fits into your schedule you can go to a CPS testing site. CPS
